Currently serving the German Federation as national coach at the Olympic base in Hamburg.
He has been leading the Italian junior and youth national teams for more than 15 years (until 2022).
As a club coach he achieved two Olympic qualifications (1992-1996), five world championships and 11 European championships.
In 2012, he was a member of the technical staff at the London Olympic Games and other international events.
He was awarded the ‘Bronze Palm’ by the Italian Olympic Committee for the best international results and for his activities in the promotion and development of sport.
A teacher and examiner for the Training Department of the Italian Swimming Federation, he has been lecturer for FINA, LEN and National Federations in a dozen countries worldwide.
